Natural Turn (Slow Waltz)

The Natural Turn is a right turning Pre-Bronze waltz figure.

The Natural Turn is one of the oldest waltz figures and among the first figures to have been featured in the Associate Syllabus (the equivalent of Bronze today).[1] It has been featured at the same level and with unchanged technique since its first introduction. The Natural Turn often serves as a building block for other figures: steps 1-3 of the Natural Turn are included as part of the Natural Spin Turn and Hesitation Change. Other syllabus figures starting with the man going backwards, such as the Closed Impetus, Open Impetus and Outside Change, also commonly use 1-3 Natural Turn as an entry.

Default: 1-6 Natural Turn
